My name is Darrell Hooper, aged 82 in 2026, Dublin born and moved to Tullamore area in 1982. Since the original version of this presentation, many years have passed and errors may have crept into this current version. In addition, new studies of our past, changes our views following new discoveries. Please forgive any uncorrected errors in this 2026 version.

Prior to 2010, I thought it would be interesting to present the work of Francis Johnston at Charleville Castle in County Offaly alongside his work elsewhere in Ireland. This has resulted in an interesting journey but deserves a more detailed and extensive publication, exclusive to Johnston.
